University of London -
EXTERNAL PROGRAMME
MBA and Postgraduate Diploma
in International Management
Entrance Requirements
The entrance requirements
for the MBA and the Postgraduate Diploma are not the same (Please
also see Notes 1 & 2 at the bottom of this page).
Academic requirement
a second class Honours
degree or the equivalent from a university or other institution
acceptable to the University of London
OR
a bachelors degree from a university or other institution acceptable
to the University of London plus a minimum GMAT score of 550
OR
an equivalent professional qualification plus a minimum GMAT
score of 550
AND
English language requirement
an advanced level
of ability to work in English (applicants may be required to pass
or to have passed within the last five years, at the appropriate level,
a test of proficiency in English acceptable to the University).
Please see comments notes in “How to Apply”.
AND
Internet access
Regular access to the
internet
Work
experience
atleast three years
relevant work experience is normally required for both the MBA and
the Postgraduate Diploma.
Note: If
you do not yet have the required work experience, you may still apply.
In exceptional cases candidates may be accepted for the Postgraduate
Diploma first and then, after having successfully completed the Diploma
Stage Units and accumulated sufficient experience, apply to transfer
to the MBA at a later date. (University Regulations apply)
AND
Note1: if you have
a degree but the institution from which you graduated does not award
Honours classifications, you may still apply. You
must arrange, however, for the institution to provide a certified
transcript of your results.
Note
2: If you are considered by the University to be a borderline case
for acceptance directly onto the MBA, you may be offered the opportunity
to join the Postgraduate Diploma. You will not be disadvantaged as
the Postgraduate Diploma units are exactly the same as the core units
for the MBA. If you then achieve marks of 50% or above for each Postgraduate
Diploma course unit, you may
be invited by the Board of Examiners to transfer onto the MBA
programme to continue with the elective courses and research course.
On successful completion of those, you will be awarded the MBA in
International Management.
Occasional
students
You may satisfy the
entrance requirements for the Postgraduate Diploma or the MBA. If
you do not, the University will still consider your application but
the University will require evidence of your ability to undertake
an advanced course of study.
