Diploma for Graduates in Politics

Academic

To be eligible to register for a Diploma for Graduates as an External student, an applicant must:

  • hold a full first degree completed in a minimum of three years duration on a full:time basis or equivalent from a university or other institution acceptable to the University of London and
  • demonstrate that they have reached a level of competence in Mathematics at least equivalent to a pass at GCSE/GCE 'O' level in a Mathematical subject at Grade C or above

There are many other acceptable qualifications, both from the UK and overseas, which the University accepts instead of British 'O' and 'A' levels.


English language

The University reserves the right to request applicants to provide evidence acceptable to the University of oral and written competence in English before an offer of registration can be made.

Applicants holding professional qualifications and/or postgraduate qualifications without a full first degree cannot be considered for admission to a Diploma for Graduates.

If the University cannot accept you with your current qualifications and experience, will advise you of other qualifications that you may take and what qualifications you could take in order to become eligible in the future.
