BBC
Worldwide offers two MBA Scholarships
BBC
Worldwide is to fund two students to study at a distance for the
MBA in International Management. The scholarships are being offered
to students in India and will cover the cost of the programme and
their examination fees. Academic support for the MBA will be provided
by Royal Holloway which has run the distance MBA for five years.
As a partner College of the University of London, Royal Holloway
participates extensively in the federal University’s International Programmes.
The first part of the
scholarship competition has already been completed. One hundred
applicants have been chosen at random from many more who expressed
an interest in studying for the MBA.
The next stage of the
competition is for the 100 applicants to submit an essay on the
challenges facing Indian industry and commerce. Applicants have
simultaneously been asked to apply to the University of London to
ensure they meet the necessary entrance requirements. The two applicants
who, in the opinion of an independent academic consultant, are judged
to have written the most accomplished essays and who also meet the
University’s entrance requirements will be awarded the scholarships.
The winners are expected
to be announced by the end of November 2004.
