Undergraduate

BSc Accounting with Law/Law with Accounting

Director's welcome

Rosemary Gosling

Director, LSE External Study

The information given on this web site introduces you to many new and exciting opportunities. Studying for a higher qualification cannot only improve your career prospects, but can also increase your understanding of how and why modern societies function the way they do. You will learn new perspectives and be encouraged to think both critically and creatively.

LSE External Study is extremely proud of its role with the University of London's External Programme. Our office at the LSE is responsible for the academic development, direction and assessment of the programmes described on this site. Our School motto is rerum cognoscere causas: 'to understand the cause of things';. The University believe it is important to think about why things occur, rather than just describe them. The University encourage you to do the same.

Most students enjoy their studies and greatly benefit from the experience. Many achieve excellent results. Studying as an External student in the social sciences is very rewarding, but also very demanding. It requires a major commitment on your part. You will have to work hard, but the end result is well worth the effort. Some of the degrees will give you the necessary grounding for a professional career; others will prepare you more generally for work in commerce or public service. All degrees, however, will provide you with a foundation for further study.

The University very much look forward to welcoming you as an External student.

Graduate Entry Route
This provides an opportunity for graduates of any discipline to gain an additional undergraduate degree by following a shorter than normal programme, successfully completing nine full units rather than twelve. This can normally be achieved in a minimum of two years with the exception of the BSc Economics, BSc Development & Economics and the BSc Information Systems & Management.
